Network for International Politics and Co-operation

About us

The CSP Network for International Politics and Co-Operation (registered association) is the politically independent alumni network of the Carlo Schmid Programme for Internships in International Organisations and EU Institutions (CSP).

Our network has over 700 members who work and live in over 50 countries. Our members are active in a large number of international and national organisations, in leading German and international universities as well as administrations, companies and NGOs. They have practical experience in international administration, science, business, consulting and politics.

Our aim is to promote and support a constructive role for Germany in Europe and the world. We support highly qualified young professionals to realize their interest in international roles and to position themselves. We want to reflect and help shape international politics in a practical way.

By organising events and through our intranet, we ensure a sustainable and stable network of members among each other. Political events with prominent external guests offer a personal forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience. We cooperate closely with German and international partners.

Network members organize regular meetings and hold CSP salons to discuss topics of international politics in all major German cities as well as at many locations worldwide where Carlo Schmid interns are deployed. At our annual Autumn Meeting, we gather around 100 alumni for expert discussions with a focus on knowledge transfer and exchange. There we discuss with experts, politicians and committed individuals from all parts of German society and the international community.
